You are sounding beautiful already.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I hope it helps to take these pieces in smaller chunks and begin to link them together. I love this repertoire and hope you find satisfaction and beauty\u00a0in the music.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>So, for Tuesday, 2\/17, here is your rehearsal plan:<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><i>The Tree House<\/i>, Beth Denisch: &#8211;\u00a0<b>&#8220;Landfall&#8221;<\/b>\u00a0&#8211; whole movement. Review the rhythms, dynamics, accents;\u00a0<b>&#8220;Alder&#8221;<\/b>\u00a0&#8211; beginning through m. 24. This is where I will begin. The old CWC recording will really help here. As will Jennifer&#8217;s brilliant midi files.<\/li>\n<li><i><b>Alway Something Sings<\/b>:\u00a0<\/i>mm. 28 &#8211; end.That is tutti singing. Remember to contact Linde, Jennifer, or me if you have any questions or confusion over when\/where to sing.<\/li>\n<li><i><b>Hope Is the Thing:<\/b>\u00a0<\/i>Let&#8217;s try to run the whole piece. It is all about the words and the speed. Stay with it. Remember the repeat (mark it).<\/li>\n<li><i><b>Birds of Passage<\/b><\/i>: mm. 4836 &#8211; end. Not too much added material. Remember that you will need a short phrase (one that is meaningful to you or that you love &#8211; just easy to remember) that will be repeated in that whispered\/spoken section.<\/li>\n<li><i><b>Shadow River<\/b><\/i>: page 8, last three notes\u00a0 &#8211; end. Watch the dynamics and the breaths. This is very &#8220;in the body&#8221; singing.<\/li>\n<li><i><b>I Started Out Singing<\/b><\/i>: SAME MATERIAL, page 3, mm. 38 &#8211; end. Energy. Careful of the diphthongs.<\/li>\n<li><b><i>Where the Light Begins<\/i>:<\/b>\u00a0SAME MATERIAL, page 6, mm. 20 &#8211; end. Watch the rhythms carefully. I promise that the recording I gave you will really help this piece &#8211; just hearing the rhythms within the flow of the piece.
